without noticing, you dance.

fall 2026 movement event
with shai faran

Sat Oct. 31-Sun Nov. 1, 2026
Boulder, CO

join us for A weekend that’s equal parts growth and play.

Review old movement concepts and experiment with new ones.

Expand your movement vocabulary and find more freedom to dance in your own unique ways.

from shai:

This workshop will cover many topics that I have been exploring and sharing throughout the years with the Ape Co community.

We will bring them together into a rich, dynamic system that you can play with in a solo practice, as well as within a group constellation.

Concepts we’ll explore:

  • Isolation: Work with isolating different parts of the body and putting them together in different ways.

  • Resonance and dissonance, connections and separations: Create a range of varied possibilities, from the smallest and most subtle ways of moving individual parts of the body to global movements where the whole body is included.

  • Timing, rhythm, space, and voice: Experiment with falling, working with gravity, and the floor to enrich your movement vocabulary, create more freedom in your body, and deepen your unique way of dancing

  • Improvisation and experimentation: Create space for expression, spatial awareness, versatility, and new creative possibilities.
